Moving
Baby A and C decided to have a Kung Fu Fight at 2:00 am and I could NOT get that song out of my head! Poor little Baby B was tucked into a corner trying to keep from taking a direct blow to the forehead!
I was wondering when I would feel them move, and if I would recognize it. No doubt, they're moving now! Lots of people told me it would feel like a flutter. Well, not for me - it feels like the opening round of a Mike Tyson fight - arms and legs flailing and someone hoping they don't get a body part bitten off!!!
Are you still singing the song? I am!!!

Growing and growing and growing and...
The first picture was taken at home at 15 weeks and 4 days. The second picture was taken this weekend in Hilton Head (don't tell my doctor) at 18 weeks and 5 days. I am amazed at how much I've expanded in 3 short weeks!

What I Wish I Could Say...
"Why triplets?" (said with a straight face): how on earth do you answer that? Mom said I should have told her that we really had our hearts set on a new puppy but instead we got three babies. Had this person not been a patient, I probably would have layed her out. Lucky for her!
"What are you going to do?": Well, we're thinking about waiting until we see which one is the pain in the butt, then selling that one on ebay. What?!?!
"How is your husband handling it?": Last I checked, his morning sickness had eased up and his energy levels had improved. I think the back pain and heartburn are going to be the hardest on him.
"Did you use drugs?": No, but I'm sure we'll be in the market for some good *&@# once they're born. Know of any good dealers?
"Do you have room for 3 in your house?": Nope. Jeff is erecting three pup tents in the back yard. That eliminates the need for another bathroom - we have lots of trees.
We have cracked up over these reactions! The looks we've gotten have been priceless! I'm sure we'll get a lot more once the babies are here!

The Results Are In!!!
Baby A - She's a Girl!!!!
She had the hiccups during the ultrasound! Too sweet! (she's lying face down with her head on the left)
We got to see the cutest ultrasound of her feet and all her little toes! (face up with her head on the right)
Baby C - He's a Boy!!!
You can tell by his spine he was spinning in circles! I can already tell he's going to be fiesty like Todd! (facing away, head on right, with his hips twisted around)
Seeing these images makes this all the more real to us! They've already stolen our hearts!
The doctor had nothing but good things to report which is such a huge relief. We go back in three weeks for a long ultrasound where they will look in detail at the chambers of their hearts and the other organs, as well as measure their little bones to estimate how much they each weigh!
It's so fun to finally be able to share this pregnancy with everyone! Check back for updates!

Due Date?
The doctors want me to make it to at least 32 weeks which would be the first week in March. Jeff and I are both praying I can make it until the end of March which would decrease the likelihood of complications associated with preterm babies. I'm sure I'll be begging them to deliver me by that point anyhow! So, if anyone wants to spend Spring Break with the Lippens Clan, just come on by! Jeff and I will be outnumbered, so visitors are always welcome!
Also, look for my post on Thursday - there is a chance we will find out the sexes of the babies at my appointment on Wednedsay! Let's hope everyone cooperates and agrees to be photogenic! I'll post our most recent ultrasounds on Thursday also!

Here we go...
We are 15 weeks 2 days into our first pregnancy - with triplets! The first trimester was not without its challenges, but we survived and are now looking forward to several weeks of reprieve from the sickness before the discomfort of carrying triplets sets in!
I hope this blog can help us keep in touch with loved ones as we go through this amazing journey. We will post ultrasounds and other photos along the way for those of you we don't get to see on a regular basis! I may even allow Jeff to post a "belly" picture so you can witness the transformation!
Let the fun begin! :)
