Moving

OK - sing with me..."Everyone Was Kung Fu Fighting - Ooh... Aah"

Baby A and C decided to have a Kung Fu Fight at 2:00 am and I could NOT get that song out of my head! Poor little Baby B was tucked into a corner trying to keep from taking a direct blow to the forehead!

I was wondering when I would feel them move, and if I would recognize it. No doubt, they're moving now! Lots of people told me it would feel like a flutter. Well, not for me - it feels like the opening round of a Mike Tyson fight - arms and legs flailing and someone hoping they don't get a body part bitten off!!!

Are you still singing the song? I am!!!

Defying The Odds

Ever feel like you can defy the odds? Well, that's how I'm feeling today! Our appointment yesterday could not have gone better - we are feeling so thankful and blessed! All of the babies are measuring exactly on target at 9 ounces each and between 7 and 8 inches long. They examined their brains, kidneys, bladders, bones and even the 4 chambers of the heart - it was pretty amazing to see. The photos today are the 4D photos - seeing them move around was breathtaking. They gave us a DVD of the ultrasound - our first home video!!! You could actually tell their different personalities based on how they were interacting in the womb - we can't wait to see if these personalities hold true once they're born! We're praying we continue to defy the odds - grow babies grow!!!! Enjoy the photos! :)

Baby Girl - thinking really hard...

Baby Boy - "will somebody shut those girls up???!!!"

Growing and growing and growing and...

OK - so I've tied to avoid this all along... here are the "belly pictures". It wouldn't be so bad if it were just my belly that was growing, but I can feel the rest of me expanding, and I hate to think about what a mess I will be in the end! Mom picked up a pair of maternity jeans this weekend and said "oh these must be mis-marked - look how huge they are". Well, when I tried them on, they were so tight I swear I felt the babies shift up to my armpits!! She didn't comment on sizes for the rest of the weekend! :)

The first picture was taken at home at 15 weeks and 4 days. The second picture was taken this weekend in Hilton Head (don't tell my doctor) at 18 weeks and 5 days. I am amazed at how much I've expanded in 3 short weeks!

Mom and I had a wonderful weekend in Hilton Head. We shopped and shopped until we couldn't shop any more and came home with more clothes than these babies will ever be able to wear! I think that little VW bug ran up and down the island a hundred times in 4 days! I don't think the swelling in my ankles will ever go down, but it was so worth it! Thanks mom for such a great time!
Our next appointment is this Wednesday - I will report back with new ultrasounds as soon as I can!
