Seriously. I love cars. Always have. It started when I turned 16 and my parents let me drive the Cutlass 442. Wow. That thing had some power under the hood. And I quickly learned that it attracted the attention of the boys. Big deal when you're 16. Since then, I've loved having a car that can blow someone's doors off. I like sitting at a red light knowing that I can leave you in the dust. It's just cool. Not girly by any means, but I've never really been the girly type. Don't have a clue about fashion. Never have. Jeff and I discuss things like the collective bargaining agreement over dinner. Weird, I know.
I say all that to explain why today has been a particularly tough day for me...

Oh yeah baby...welcome to suburbia. I can go 0-60 in 5.3 miles. The only way I'm leaving you in the dust is if you get stuck behind me and you get hit with crunched up Cheerios flying out of the back window. I am SO getting some bumper stickers. My kid is a preschool honor student. My other kid beat up my preschool honor student.
Lord help me.

Wow! What a nice looking
MINI-VAN!!!! No, it is not a family transport vehicle, Jennifer, it is a MINI-VAN!!!! Now when you pull into my neighborhood you will not look like the FBI coming. My neighbors will wonder which of the retirees in the 'hood got a new mini van!!! Anyways, it's pretty!
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, well, well. Forgive me for commenting, but aren't you the one who said "I will never be caught dead driving a mini-van like my favorite cousins in the north". Well my dear, you are in deed driving a mini van, cheerio dust and bumper stickers will not disguise that you are driving a mini van! Todd will be so proud of you! We are getting a great chuckle out of this - welcome to the hood! Love ya
How are you going to explain this to Adam?
Oh Jenn! I don't even know what to say! I want to be encouraging, really I do, but I've got nothing here! Can you not force Jeff to drive this and get yourself a cool car? I'm sure he wouldn't mind...he's that kind of guy! He wants you to be happy, I know he does! Really though, as minivans go, it's pretty hot! Just don't leave any diaper bags or kiddie paraphenalia on the roof like in that one commercial! LOL
