After a long hiatus, we are back online! Our holiday season was hectic and wonderful - Jeff was able to fly home to visit his family for Christmas. His mom hosted a baby shower for him while he was there - can you picture Jeff sitting in the middle of the cirlce of ladies oohing and aahing over tiny little onesies and blankies? Too cute!
We had a wonderful New Years with our great friends Shelby and Adam who drove all the way from Indianapolis to see us! Thanks for the gourmet meals Adam!
On Jan 2nd, we had an appt with our specialist, and much to his surprise, everything was still perfect with me and all three babies! He dismissed us for 3 weeks, all the while shaking his head in disbelief. I was even bragging on the way home on how I was the MASTER of this pregnancy thing! Funny how life can change in an instant and throw you back to reality in the blink of an eye.
I ended up in the hospital that night with contractions. They were able to stop them very quickly with medication and I was released the next morning with the promise to quit work and to spend the majority of my days "resting". So much for being the MASTER. Nowadays, I am the master of my couch and the remote control and basically nothing else!
Even though we had a scare, we are both so grateful to be where we are right now. Every day is a blessing and we are literally taking this one hour at a time. We're finding joy in the little things like the not-so-tiny kicks and movements of the babies that let us know they're getting bigger and stronger by the day.
Our next appointment is this Wednesday, so we will check back in with an update!
